About the Writer

My name is Lauren Piovesan and I am an English as an Additional Language (EAL/D) teacher. I have worked with EAL/D students across primary, secondary and senior secondary schools in Australia. I worked predominantly with low literacy, refugee background students.
Upon discovering there is very little age-appropriate and relevant reading material for older EAL/D students, I set about writing stories for young adult EAL/D students with low literacy.
